Childhood is the time of growth. Even at the time of birth there has already been rapid and remarkable growth from microscopic single cell to a baby weighing 7 or 8 lbs. While increase in size is occurring, there is  simultaneous development of all other skills and ability. Growth is not only influenced by genetic factors, but is also affected by nutrition and by some of the hormones produce by the body. Therefore nutritious and balance diet is important to healthy growth of children and to start them early in cultivating a healthy eating pattern helps to persist throughout their life.

Breakfast plays a key role in improving a child academic performance as well as over all health. Breakfast contributes substantially to a child's intake of nutrients and increase the likelihood of meeting daily requirements, so make sure your children takes wholesome food for breakfast.
 

Both broccoli and carrots contribute calcium to the diet, so do cabbage and kale. When introducing a new vegetable to your child, serve alongside a favorite food, add vegetable, soup or toss into a stir-fry fish.

Good nutrition starts with the family, Give children first hand experience arranging, slicing, cooking, buying and even growing a variety of nutritious food. Train them to know food and to love food.
