Yogurt and Bacon Quiche Recipe

Ingredients

 

plain yogurt - 1 cup

half-and-half - 1 cup (mixture of one part milk to one part cream.)

eggs - 4, large

bacon - 1/2 pound, cooked

Swiss cheese - 1 cup, shredded

onion - 1/4 cup, chopped

butter - 1 tbsp

cayenne pepper - pinch

pepper - pinch

salt - 1 tsp

unbaked pie shell - 1

 

Method

 

Sauté the chopped onion in butter until soft, remove heat and set aside.

Combine eggs, yogurt, half-and-half, cooked onion, pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Stir well.

Crumble the cooked bacon and sprinkle in pie shell, then sprinkle the Swiss cheese.

Pour egg mixture on top and bake 35-40 minutes over 350˚F/175˚C, until the top brown lightly and center is set. Makes 6.
