Cabbage Soup Recipe

Ingredients


Cabbage – shredded
Onion – 1½ cup, chopped
Kidney beans - 15 oz

stewed tomatoes – 15 oz
Salt – to taste
Ground beef - ½ lb
Water – 2 cup
Potatoes – cooked, mashed
Chili powder – 1 tsp
Celery - ½ cup, sliced


Method


Fry the beef with medium heat until it turn brown, then drain.
Add in the celery and onion and cook until tender.
Add in cabbage, beans, tomatoes, water, salt and chili powder and bring it to boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
Serve the soup on a bowl and top each bowl with mashed potatoes.
