Classic Greek Salad Recipe

This Greek salad serve with a chunk of bread makes a delicious, filling meal.

 

Ingredients

  • spring onions - 6

  • tomatoes - 3

  • cucumber - ½, halved lengthwise

  • romaine lettuce - 1

  • feta cheese - 80g

  • Greek black olives - 30g

  • olive oil - 80ml

  • white wine vinegar - 3 tbsp

  • ground black pepper and salt

  • bread and olives - to serve

Method

  • Tear the lettuce into pieces and place them in a bowl, slice the cucumber and add into  the bowl.

  • Then, cut the tomatoes into wedges, slice the spring onions and put them into the bowl together with the olives and toss well.

  • Cut the cheese into cubes and add to the salad. Whisk well the vinegar, olive oil, pepper and salt, then pour it over the salad and toss well. Serve, with bread and olives. Serves 2.
