Ingredients

garlic - 1 clove, crushed

basmati rice - 250g

vegetable stock - 450ml

toasted sesame seeds - 2 tbsp

toasted sunflower seeds - 2 tbsp

coriander seeds - 2 tsp, crushed

ground turmeric - 1 tsp

cardamom pods - 7, crushed

natural yogurt - 120g

ground black pepper and salt

sunflower oil - 2 tsp

coriander leaves - to garnish
Method

Heat the oil in a pan, fry the
garlic and spices for few seconds, stirring all the time.

Add the rice and stock, bring to
boil, cover and simmer for 20 minutes until the rice is just
tender.

Stir in the toasted sunflower and
sesame seeds, yogurt, and season with pepper and salt. Garnish
with coriander leaves, serve hot. Serves 6.
