Ingredients
Raisins – 1 cup
Applesauce - 1½ cup, unsweetened
Wheat germ – 2 tbsp
Flour – 2 cup, white and whole wheat for each
Margarine – 2/3 cup, melted
Baking soda – 2 tsp
Nuts – 1 cup
Sugar - ½ cup
Cinnamon – 1 tsp
Method
Boil the applesauce, pour in the melted margarine.
Add sugar, flour, cinnamon and baking soda and stir well.
Add in wheat germ, nuts and raisins, then bake in a greased pan for
an hour at 375°F.
Topped with powdered sugar or cream while it still hot.
