Layered Mexican Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 cans fat-free refried beans

  • ½ lb ground turkey (cooked and drain) white tenderloin skinless

  • 3 cups non-fat mozzarella cheese

  • 1 cup grated non-fat cheddar cheese

  • 1 16 oz. jar taco sauce

  • 4 oz. can chopped green chilies

  • 1 cut fat-free chicken broth

  • 1 large onion, diced

Method

  • Brown diced onion in chicken broth. Add cooked ground turkey. Stir refried beans into turkey mixture.

  • Spread into a 9 X 13 inches dish that has been sprayed with a non-fat cooking spray. Sprinkle green chilies over top of turkey-bean mixture. Spread ½ of cheese over it.

  • Pour taco sauce over cheese. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes.

  • Serve with low-fat tortilla chips or homemade low-fat chips.
